While many Michiganders have just celebrated Valentine’s Day with sweet treats for their sweethearts, the supply of chocolate remains rich and plentiful throughout the state of Michigan (MI).
In fact, one source names over 60 chocolate companies doing business in Michigan today.

Take a chocolate-making plant tour at the home of Kilwin’s in Petoskey on Lake Michigan. Or visit the Village Chocolatier for a special connection to the Quota Club of East Tawas on Lake Huron. Try Patricia’s Chocolates in Grand Haven for a real Michigan Bar.
For chocolate emergencies, visit the Kilwin’s shop in Grand Rapids, just 100 yards from the doors of the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel.
And be sure to save room for Mackinac Island Fudge, originally created in 1887 by the Murdick family on Mackinac Island. Today there are 13 fudge shops on the island, where you can watch fudge being made every day – enticing you with smells and samples at every turn. Mackinac Island is called America’s Fudge Capital and fudge is the island’s most popular souvenir!
