Hey Ladies! I’m Shary Goulart from Region 17 and I just want to take this opportunity to say congratulations on being here at Quota’s centennial celebration.

Quota has accomplished amazing and wonderful things over the past 100 years. There have been many changes and I’m sure there are more to come. I know that you are just as proud as I am to be a part of this organization. We truly have a lot to celebrate. As I see and hear some of the amazing things that you are doing out in your communities, I realize how unique all of our clubs are. How unique each and every one of you are. I feel blessed that I can call you sisters in Quota.

Here’s looking at another productive 100 years. Again Ladies, congratulations. Keep up the good work and raise your flag for Quota.

Congratulations from Region 18: Transcript

Through its enduring focus on service and sharing, Quota International stands as a shining example of inspiration around the world today and for the next generations. As we celebrate the 100 years of Quota and recognize in particular, the people who brought it into being, we honor the sacrifice, generosity, pioneering spirit, and contribution of our founders. Quota’s 100-year celebration is of great significance. And it is fitting to pay tribute to the tenacity, skills, and leadership of the men and women who have served the organization reaching the end of the first century. We commend all your efforts today.

A centenary in the history of any organization is a significant milestone, a historical landmark, a celebration of a very special event that affords an opportunity not only to review our past history but also to look forward to an amazing and exciting future. All praises and thanks to the organization who has molded me to who I am today.

Mabuhay! from the Philippines.

Congratulations from Region 20: Transcript

Pratibha Chandra, Regional Director, Region 20 India. Hello everybody, Nice to see you all here.

On behalf of Quota Region 20, I congratulate and and give our best wishes to Quota International for completing hundred years of Quota. It’s a firm, we have done a fabulous, a marvelous job about it and now Quota is a worldwide organization.

I am honored to be the first Regional Director of Region 20 to be attending an international conference. I am sure it is going to be a very very great, a fabulous learning experience for me.

I am also the founding member of DLF City Club. It has been 18 years since its inception. What really motivated and inspired me to join Quota was the life of Wanda Frey, the founder of Quota and how the word quota was used to define this organization. And how it has spread it wings all over the world. Congratulations once again. India is a large and developing country and requires tremendous efforts and resources and initiative to help the underprivileged.

All the three clubs in our region are working to help the underprivileged in the field of child welfare, education, health, women employment, vocational and skill training, geriatric care and so on. For example, we had Quota DLF City started a preschool about 12 years ago with only ten children. We are proud to say that today we have 800 children from preschool to class 12. All the other clubs have had similar challenges and face them.

Really, however, we do try our best to do whatever we can for Quota, but sometimes I think even our best is not good enough. What we are doing today is just a drop in the ocean. But then, it’s as the old saying goes, ‘little drops of water make a mighty ocean’. And our aim is that at least if not we, generations to come will one day make it into a very very mighty ocean.

Let us all join hands and spread the message of service compassion, friendship, and peace and extend a helping hand to those who need us. It is so satisfying to see a child – a child still in the eyes turn into a smile on the lips when you have given the child some help, the help he really desperately needs.

Let us leave a legacy so firmly embedded in the sands of time that not even the fiercest of storms can erase or erode it. Members will come and members will go that is what destiny is all about and that is how this world goes but Quota will go on forever and should go on forever and God bless Quota.

Thank you all for listening to me. Namaskar

Region 20 Director, Pratibha Chandra Quota International of DLF City

Congratulations and thanks to members and friends of Quota International for your support during Quota International’s first century! We look forward to the work that will be done to fulfill the mission of empowering women, children, the deaf and hard-of-hearing, and people with speech difficulties in local communities around the world.
